We at Conrad’s Cleaning Service, Inc. understand our headquarter office and geographical location of our work is in an environmentally sensitive area. We have the Indian River Lagoon, wetlands, estuaries, beaches, etc. Conrad’s Cleaning Service, Inc. knows, as population in this area increases and the stress of our environmental gem’s ecosystems grows, so does our need to be a responsible “steward” of our environment. Our business works to reduce the impact of hazardous chemicals on our environment, employees, and the public.
Green cleaning is using products, equipment, and procedures that do not endanger our environment, employees, or the public. Traditional cleaning products are made with chlorine, ammonia or other toxic products. Traditional cleaning products have been linked with skin irritations, respiratory infections, and other serious health problems. Using traditional cleaning products has been found to be in direct relationship to employee illnesses; thus, affecting employee absenteeism. The relationship of using traditional chemicals and absenteeism not only affects janitorial companies but also commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, and homes to just name a few. Conrad’s Cleaning Service, Inc. is currently phasing out our traditional chemicals for environmentally safer chemicals, ergonomically affective equipment, and procedures. Conrad’s Cleaning Service, Inc.’s goal is to improve our quality of life for the environment and the public.
We understand that green cleaning is a comprehensive way of doing business. Green cleaning is more than just using some nontoxic products. It is encompassing this change on a wider level so not only are the clients using these products but also looking into other environmentally safe products and ways of doing business themselves.
